Today I am interviewing Marissa from Makin' It With Marissa. Marissa and I have interacted on Twitter for a while, and she is one of the sweetest bloggers I have met!
1. Why did you begin blogging?
I've actually been blogging since way before blogging was a thing, starting with AOL blogs in the late '90s (haha). Nonetheless, I began this blog because I was so bored after having moved home after college graduation. I was spending all day every day looking for and applying to jobs, which got really monotonous after a while. Makin' it with Marissa was born as a creative outlet and so that I could share my professional experiences and tips with others.2. Is there a story behind the name to your blog?
3. What has been your favorite post you have written? (Feel free to link it!)
My favorite post, to date, is my post about eShakti. It was the first time I was ever offered the opportunity to work with a brand as well as my first time shooting fashion editorial photos. I never thought that my blog would become fashion-oriented, but working on that project really inspired me to show off my personal style and take more editorial photos.4. How would you describe your personal style?
My personal style is both dressy casual and basic. I wear a ton of black and solid colors, but I love to make my outfits pop with statement jewelry and fun, patterned pieces. In college, you would almost never find me without some kind of blazer on -- they're definitely my favorite pieces to wear!5. If you were given a shopping spree to one store, where would you choose?
Definitely, Nordstrom. Is that really even a question? I would buy more handbags, makeup, and shoes than I know what to do with!6. What is your favorite nail polish color?
That's easy: it's purple! I love the color "Play Date" from Essie and I haven't taken it off for almost 6 months.7. What is your go-to perfume?
It used to be Victor & Rolf "Flowerbomb," but now I gravitate towards Nest Fragrance's "Dahlia & Vines." Really, I'm a sucker for any deep, brooding scent that smells like it potentially belongs on a man.8. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you choose?
9. How can we stay up to date with you? (Link any social media accounts you would like to so readers can easily follow!)
I'm always on Twitter and Instagram, which is where I love to post pictures of the "behind-the-scenes" look at my daily life as well as interact with all of my lovely readers! I hope you'll join me. :)
Thank you so much to Marissa for doing this interview. It is always so cool to learn more about other bloggers! Don't forget to checkout her blog and feel free to leave a comment below if you and Marissa have anything in common of if something in this interview stuck out to you!
