Thrift Challenge: Dresses (& VIDEO!)

Last week I went to a few thrift shops and consignment stores with my friend in search of dresses to wear to upcoming events. Between end of the year banquets, graduation, and graduation parties I needed to find at least one new dress to add into rotation.

First we stopped by a consignment shop. I knew they usually had a good selection of dresses, so I went in and tried on about 10 different ones. You can see all of them in the video, but I just took pictures of my favorite pieces. I loved the color and style of this top, but it was a little too pricey and a little too short for me.
This dress was a personal fave, but since the colors would work better in fall, I decided to leave it behind since I needed to find dresses to wear in the next few weeks.

I loved the colors in this dress, but I wasn't a fan of the fit.

This dress is the one I ended up buying! I loved the simple black and white stripes and it fit really well. I ended up wearing it to my own grad party and I got so many compliments on it. I ended up paying $15 for it, which is much less than I would have spent in store!

At the next thrift store we found lots of interesting things (a few of which I showed in the video) but I only tried on a few things and nothing worked.

Then we stopped at the last store which is a consignment shop but it's not all well known brands like the first one we went to. I tried on this cat dress, but it wasn't really flattering. The top had a whole in it I noticed, but the shorts fit really well so I bought them!

Now onto the video. I have shown one other video on my blog before, but I have gotten more into making videos recently. A few days this summer I have vlogged, but I am keeping those private at the moment since they do have my friends in them and not everyone is okay with being public. But when we were shopping I decided to do a short vlog to include in this post so here it is!

Let me know in the comments if you like videos/vlogs too and if I should include more! They are actually a lot of fun to make, even though I am not very good at editing yet!
